Uniblue ProcessScanner is a small program developed by the Uniblue Company. All the Uniblue products do system maintenance tasks.
We all are familiar with the Windows task manager which shows the programs that are currently running in the computer. But most of us are unaware of what those programs do. Suppose a virus gets into the computer, it would also be shown in the process list.
ProcessScanner scans the Windows processes and finds out whether there are some dangerous or unwanted programs running. This may be a virus program or a program that uses a lot of memory, or other resources. This doesn’t mean it can solve the problem, like ending a task. All it does is scans the computer and generates a report that can be viewed at the program's website. The site has a huge list of the processes of different software. Thus, we can know whether a running program is safe, dangerous, etc. If the process is unknown, there is a high chance that it is a virus.
If you need an advanced program that can track processes along with the resources they are using, like the registry entries, opened files, DLLs and functions used, etc; then "Sysinternals Process Explorer" is the best.
