This program has been discontinued.
It is no longer being updated, and you won't be able to obtain it from its original developer.
Uniblue ProcessScanner is a small program developed by the Uniblue Company. All the Uniblue products do system maintenance tasks.

We all are familiar with the Windows task manager which shows the programs that are currently running in the computer. But most of us are unaware of what those programs do.
Suppose a virus gets into the computer, it would also be shown in the process list.

ProcessScanner scans the Windows processes and finds out whether there are some dangerous or unwanted programs running. This may be a virus program or a program that uses a lot of memory, or other resources. This doesn’t mean it can solve the problem, like ending a task. All it does is scans the computer and generates a report that can be viewed at the program's website. The site has a huge list of the processes of different software. Thus, we can know whether a running program is safe, dangerous, etc. If the process is unknown, there is a high chance that it is a virus.

If you need an advanced program that can track processes along with the resources they are using, like the registry entries, opened files, DLLs and functions used, etc; then "Sysinternals Process Explorer" is the best.

  • Small Program.
  • Freeware.
  • Fast scanning.
  • Detailed report on all the processes.

  • Can't be used offline
  • Cannot remove errors or viruses

Publisher's description

The Problem
Have you seen your PC's performance decline in the days since you bought it? Does your system take a long time to boot up and to load simple programs? Maybe it crashes more frequently, or stalls when loading Web pages? The problem could be that your PC is running unnecessary or even overtly malicious code, compromising all areas of your computer's performance, from speed and stability, through to security. But where do you find a list of all the processes that your PC is running? And even assuming that you find them, what programs are these processes associated with and are they harmful?

The Solution
With ProcessScanner Uniblue takes the perspiration and guesswork out of researching the processes running on your PC. ProcessScanner not only generates a detailed list of the items already running on your PC, it then goes on to give you valuable information as to the programs these are associated with. Furthermore ProcessScanner will then supply you with valuable information about what each does and the level of risk, or threat, to your computer associated with that process. ProcessScanner is an invaluable tool to help remove the fog that obscures the inner workings of your computer and, what's more, it's free!
